We started UnlockLife because we missed our parents. We didn’t miss them because they were gone (they are still here 🤞🙏 ); we missed them because they were changing. As they aged, we watched the world around them speed up while their world slowed down. We saw the hesitation creep in - the fear of technology, the loss of social circles, and the feeling of being “locked” inside a life that suddenly felt smaller.
As their children, we felt helpless. We live in a busy world - building careers and raising our own kids. We found that 90% of our calls to our parents were about logistics: doctor appointments, groceries, and pills. We were losing the emotional connection to the transactional to-do list.
